New Mexico Arts Imaginative Collective (NMAIC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, brings engaging film shows and in-person exhibits to our community.

Submit Your Short Film by Saturday, March 14, 2026!

 

 

Submission Criteria: ALL Digital Formats Accepted

​

1. Theme for 2026: The theme this year is "Love, Loss, and Survival." You may incorporate any or all of these elements in your film.

2. Camera Use: You can use traditional cameras or mobile devices, such as mobile phones, drones, GoPro cameras, and tablets.

3. Length: Films must not exceed 20 minutes, including final credits.

4. Genres: All genres are welcome, but content must be family-friendly (rated G or PG-13).

5. Filmmaker Levels: We encourage filmmakers of all experience levels, from emerging to established.

6. Film Age: There are no restrictions on when films were created. Premieres are encouraged.

7. Screening Rights: By submitting your film(s), you grant us the right to screen them in front of a live audience.

8. Copyright Clearance: All submissions must have full clearance for their content. Any issues related to copyright infringement are the participant’s responsibility. The New Mexico Arts Imaginative Collective and its members are not responsible for any copyright infringement.

 

How to Submit to HODGEPODGE Shorts 3

Send the following information in ONE email to NMAIC at newmexicoaic@gmail.com by 11:55 p.m. on March 14, 2026:

1. You may submit up to 3 films in a single submission.

2. Include the names and contact information of both the director and producer.

3. Provide the titles of your film(s) along with a brief synopsis for each.

4. Include the production company name.

5. Indicate camera type, either  Traditional  or  Mobile    < List all mobile devices used.

6. Indicate experience level, either    Established   or  Student

7. Attach movie poster(s) in JPG or PDF format (1 MB or higher).

8. Include links to your film(s).

​9. $5.00 non-refundable entrance fee per film.

    * Incomplete submissions will be disqualified.

Filmmakers will be notified of acceptance by April 10, 2026, and will receive complimentary admission to the event!

If your film is selected, our NMAIC technical advisor will contact you to discuss the best method for uploading your film(s).
